Or you could become a technical writer at a software or hardware comapny and make $100K - $150K PLUS benefits, 401K match, bonuses, and stock -- depending on the company.

You don't have to be super-technical either. What you need is the ability to quickly learn technical concepts *just enough* to be able to document them for the company's customers. And then forget them because the next project will probably require you to learn just as much about a different product or feature or technology.

And now that companies have been convinced, thanks to the pandemic, that remote work is as productive as working in an office, it doesn't matter where you live. You can live in upper Michigan or Estonia and work for a Silicon Valley company for US dollars -- though again, it depends on the company.

Corporate jobs aren't for everybody, but they are lucrative in this niche. And "writer" is right there in your title.
